The amount of Rs 250 will be deposited in Sukanya Samranchi Yojana, before this was Limit

The central government has reduced the minimum annual deposit amount from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 250 in the Sukanya prosperity scheme. The government action is likely to increase the number of people bringing the policy. This saving scheme, named after Girl Child, has been started in the Modi government's tenure. The government has done research in Sukanya Prosperity Account Rules, 2016, according to which the policy of paying 250 rupees annually can be obtained.
It is important that while presenting the Budget for 2018-19, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that this scheme is one of the major successes of the Modi government. Jaitley said in the budget that till November 2017, 1.26 crore accounts have been opened under this scheme and deposits of 19,183 crore have been deposited. Like the PPF and other small savings schemes, the interest rate of this scheme is also determined quarterly.
For July-September, the interest rate for this scheme has been fixed at 8.1%. According to the plan, the girl child can be opened for 10 years in the name of its legal guardian and parents. According to the notification of the government, an account can be opened in any post office branch and government bank under the Sukanya prosperity scheme.
